Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

For the last six years, I’ve had the honor of traveling the state to serve schools of all types and sizes.

In that time, I’ve come to know Superintendent Sheldon Jones, his leadership team, and many of the educators in Richland Parish.

Our local educators have made remarkable strides in serving students. The educators of Richland Parish continue to improve the lives of their students every day.

This year we have concrete evidence of the success of our educators, as the Louisiana Department of Education revealed that Richland Parish’s District Performance score has increased by 6 points!

Furthermore, having encountered Superintendent Jones both in Richland Parish and in state level meetings in Baton Rouge, I know that he is a man of both integrity and intelligence.

Given the continued work of amazing local educators and the district’s strong leadership, I urge the local community to continue their support.
