Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson advised that traffic citations are up due to the fact the police are getting a lot of complaints about speeding.
“I ask that you drive according to the posted speed to avoid being ticketed,” he said. “In addition, if you drive a motor vehicle, you must buckle up.”
Chief Robinson would also like to caution all about entertaining gossip.
“It is a major cause that leads to a negative outcome,” he said. “By all means, consider your source. I know that the ones bringing the bad news are in hope that it would change your thoughts, but don’t let it. Let’s continue to be the beset that we can be. Remember our future depends on it.”
Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
