Churches and other organizations are encouraged to sponsor wreaths and cover veterans’ graves in area cemeteries throughout the parish.
The local National Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held on at 11 a.m. Dec. 16 on the grounds of the Northeast Louisiana Veterans’ Cemetery, just south of Rayville on Highway 425. Everyone is invited to participate in this ceremony that will honor veterans from around our area.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare the wreaths and place the wreaths at the veterans’ cemetery. If interested please contact Dellie Hicks at Rhymes or any ORLRS board member.
