Thaddeus Joye Lewis

Services for Mrs. Thaddeus Joye Lewis, 80 of Rayville were Sunday, August 2, 2015 in the Mulhearn Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Thomas and the Rev. Troy Dennard officiating. 

Interment followed in Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe.

Mrs. Joye was born January 29, 1935 in Point, LA and passed from this life July 30, 2015 at her residence. She loved to work in the yard and had some beautiful flowers. She attended Northeastern College, selling ads for newspapers, and was co-owner of Lewis Insurance. She will be missed by her little dog “Lady Bug”.

She is preceded in death by her parents-Sam and Mae Acree Ouchley and a brother-Sylvester Ouchley.

She leaves behind her husband-Orville Lewis of Rayville; a daughter-Brenda Pittington of Rayville; a son-Curtis Lewis of Rayville; brother-Eugene Ouchley and wife Sharon of West Monroe; five grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers were John Gee, James Booker, Calvin Hunter, Hank Ryan, Kerry Murphy, Matt Steele, Mark Ouchley. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ralph Abraham, Dr. Kyle Bruyninekx, and Jim Berry.
