Travis Emfinger

Funeral services for Travis Emfinger, 80, of Archibald, were held Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Archibald First Baptist Church, Archibald, LA with Rev. John Cleveland, Rev. Eddie Martin and Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating.

Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. Travis was born November 22, 1934 in Chase, LA and passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 in Archibald, LA after a lengthy illness. 

Mr. Travis was a member of the Archibald First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Archibald/Alto Fire Department and past Auxiliary Deputy with the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Department. He was veteran with the U.S. Army

Mr. Travis is preceded in death by his parents, L.E. and Effie Emfinger; his two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ellen Emfinger of Archibald; children, Karen Lanea Dooly and husband, Dan of Minden, Lisa Kay Moore and husband, Joe of Archibald, and Travis Greg Emfinger and wife, Tina of Archibald; grandchildren, Justin Spillers, Cody Dooly, April Dooly, Kyle Emfinger, Haylee Emfinger Rieger, Chelsa Emfinger, and Charles Emfinger; great grandchildren, Karma Dooly, Rocky Neal Lawrence, Briar Dean Lawrence, and Rodney Todd Rieger, III; sister, Jewel Bozeman of Shreveport; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers were the Archibald/Alto Fire Department and members of the Richland Parish Fire Department.
