Delhi Bears to play in Grambling jamboree

The Delhi Bears football team has been invited to play in the Eddie Robinson High School Football Classic at Grambling State University. 

In addition to Delhi, Wossman, Richwood, Carroll, General Trass and Grambling Lab will partcipate.

All games will be played Aug. 29 at Eddie Robinson Stadium with Delhi set to take the field against Wossman.

“They’ve got a nationally recruited quarter back,” DHS coach Jesse Esters said, “but we’ve got our own nationally recruited player in Terrance Wesley.”

The Bears also have Asante Griffin and all their seniors from last season returning.

“We think it will be a good game and we have a good chance of winning against Wossman,” Esters said. “I’d invite everyone to come support the team.”

Tickets are on sale now for $10 each. They can be purchased from any member of the Delhi High School coaching staff or by calling the main office at 878-2235.
