Dragons down Beekman

The Mangham Dragons remain undefeated following a 35-12 win over Beekman last Friday night.
The Dragons now stand at 5-0.
The game got off to a slow start with neither team scoring in the first quarter. Mangham forged ahead in the second quarter, scoring 20 points to Beekman’s six for a 20-6 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, the Dragons score two unanswered points, widening the lead to 22.6. They added 13 more points to Beekman’s six in the fourth quarter for the final score of 35-12 in favor of the Dragons.
The Dragons got all 389 of their yards on the ground.
Donovan Haynes led the rushing attack with 19 carries for 146 yards and four touchdowns. Donte Straughter scored once and racked up 67 yards on three carries.
In addition, Joe Williams ran the ball eight times for 62 yards, Cam Wilmore ran 14 times for 55 yards, Adam Eley ran five times for 35 yards and Tyler Haynes ran twice for 24 yards.
Kade Lively was three for four on PATs for three points.
Mangham will be at home this week as it hosts the 1-4 Rayville Hornets in a district game.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 in Mangham.
