Lady Dragons playoff bound

Mangham had no problems with the 15th ranked Houma Christian Lady Warriors to earn a spot in the Class 1A quarterfinals  

Arrin Dye faced only 10 batters in three innings allowing only one hit.  The Dragons scored two in the first with a solid hit coming from Rachel Collins.   In the seond, the Lady Dragons left the bases loaded with no runs being pushed across.

The third inning proved to be too much for the Warriors as Mangham had 10 RBI’s and three walked-in batters to end the contest still only having one out on the board.  Collins had two hits with three RBI’s, Miranda Smart with one hit and two RBI”s, Graycen Dye with one hit and two RBI’s, Karley Poindexter with one hit and one RBI, Arrin Dye with one hit and one RBI, Leann Franks with one RBI, Grace Underwood with one hit and one RBI, Aly Hales with one hit and one RBI and Anna Claire Romero with one hit.  

The Lady Dragons now  head to Sulphur to play the seventh ranked Sacred Heart Lady Trojans who defeated district rival St. Edmunds Lady Blue Jays by a score of 4-3.  The game will begin at 2 p.m. Friday with the winner moving to the semifinals.
