Lady Dragons take four of six games this week-h

The Lady Dragons opened up a full week of tough games with St. Fredericks on Monday with Karley Poindexter and Arin Dye sharing the mound work.

 Lady Dragons had no problems in this one by a score of 15-0 with Poindexter picking up the win.  They accumulated 9 hits coming from Miranda Smart (2), Graycen Dye (2), Poindexter (2), Lauren Nobles (1), Anna Carter (1) and Grace Underwood (1).

On Tuesday, the Cedar Creek Lady Cougars came to Mangham and the Dragons suffered their 4th loss of the season by a score 7-2.  The bats were pretty quiet with only 5 hits from Smart (1), G. Dye (2), Rachel Collins (1) and Arin Dye (1).

On Thursday, the Dragons took a road trip to square off with district rival OCS which turned out to be a great game going 9 innings for the Dragons second win of the week by a score of 4-3.  A. Dye and Leann Franks toed the mound with Franks getting the win.  

The Lady Dragons had 11 hits against the Eagles but just couldn’t put them together leaving 13 runners on base.  Hits came from G. Dye (2), Collins (1), Poindexter (2), A. Dye (1), Anna Claire Romero (2), Franks (1), and Nobles (2).

Friday, the Dragons came up a little short on a hard fought battle with the Ruston Bearcats by a score of 8-5.   

Spotting them 5 runs in the first inning the Lady Dragons showed heart tying the game at 5-5 in the 4th but in the end 6 fielding errors proved to be the difference in 

er  the game.  7 hits in this game came from Smart (2), Romero (2), G. Dye (1), Poindexter (1), and Morgan Duchesne.  

The Dragons’ final games on Saturday in the Polar Bear Classic came against Jena and West Ouachita.  Poindexter got the win against Jena by a score of 18-5 with Rachel Collins and Kennedy Heisler hitting their first homeruns of the season. 

They put together 17 hits in this one Smart (2), Romero (1), G. Dye (4), Collins (2), Heisler (3), A. Dye (2), and Nobles (3).

A. Dye got the win against West Ouachita by a score of 9-4.  10 hits were picked up in this one by Smart (2), Romero (1), G. Dye (2), Collins (1), Heisler (2), A. Dye (1), and Nobles (1). 

Another full week of games ahead for the Lady Dragons with Delhi Charter, Caldwell, Bastrop, and a tournament in Mangham at the end of the week.
