A Worm Hole

You have seen an apple with a worm hole in it. Do you know whether the worm began to bore the hole in the apple from the inside or from the outside? Many would say from the outside, but a scientist will agree with the observer who declares that the worm began inside. In fact, they tell us that the egg was laid in the blossom and that the worm was hatched in the heart of the apple, whence he bored his way out. That is the way the worm of sin starts work in the human life. It begins in the heart and bores its way out. We  know it is true that out the heart are the issues of life. We must never forget that the heart must be sound or the life will be mutilated.

Jimmy Smith is back in North Louisiana for his therapy after his accident. Hope he will soon be home. Our get well wishes and prayers remain with him and those who are so faithfully by his side.

Here on Friday was Lois Kenly Lively from Winnsboro and her nephew, Tim McVay from Delhi. They did enjoy their ice cream cone. Was good to see them.

Thomas Dove, Tommy and Pam Dove and grandchildren from Shreveport were here for the weekend with Charles and Connie Dove. They got some fishing in on Poverty Point lake while here. 

Ralph Powell spent a few days in Monroe with his daughter, Janice Guyton while recuperating. She probably is gonna spoil him.

Vanessa Thompson and Debbie Prine with Guaranty Bank flew out to Lubbock, Texas for a banking class. Great flight great food and great times in class. They did have a great time!

Thanks to everyone who helped in any way in the clean up of the storm. There was great damage to houses, trees down everywhere but we were blessed that there were no injures. God is good.

Mrs. Delilah Wade, Sandra Cheek Guest best friends out in Irving Texas decided she wanted to give Sandra a surprise on her birthday. The sisters, Tammie Johnson from Mandeville drove up to Jackson to Connie’s they drove by here picked Denise Thompson up and headed for Texas on Friday. They spent the night with Cheryl Cardova and Debora Cheek in Dallas, Saturday was the surprise day and it was a great big exciting surprise. They were all so very happy and a lot of tears of joy was shed!

Happy Birthday this week to: Carol Nelson Slayter Thompson, Albigal McManus, Olivia Kale Graham on April 30th, Mia Weems and Mrs. Hazel Toney on May 1st, Brady Richarson, Summer Vaughn, Juanita Grisby, Ted Mayhall and Markus Lewis on May 2nd, Louise Cater, Joseph Graham on May 3rd, Juri Thompson, Zadie Nix, Kaden Reese Graham on May 4th, Todd Stokes, Keith Holley, Dawn Walker on May 5th, Kylie and Caroline Mills, Taylor Kate Kennedy, Gloria Hough on May 6th. Anniversary wishes to: Annette and Wayne Vondienstein on April 30th. May these two share many more happy years together.
