Invincible Grace
Divine grace, even in the heart of a weak and sinful man, is an invincible thing.
Drown it in the waters of adversity, it rises more beautiful, as not being drowned indeed, but only washed. Throw it into the furnace of fiery trails, and it will come out purer, and loses nothing but the dross; which our corrupt nature mixed with it. There is no better Teacher than the Holy Spirt and no better text than God’s word!
Here from Oklahoma for just a few days was Jamie, Deline and Roman Rawls. They visited with the David Rawls bunch of course, Jamie and Roman went hunting while here.
Benney Powell from Dallas was back for the weekend with his dad, Ralph. Ralph said he slipped in on him but he was glad to see him and enjoyed his visit.
Hilda Clack from Tallulah was here on Thursday afternoon for a most welcome visit.
I had a good visit on the phone with my niece, Becky, she told e that Annette Hammons from Branson and Connie Sue Smith from Monroe had been over to visit her and did she enjoy their visit.
So sorry that Lisa Chaney fell again and broke her arm, she was just getting over her broken leg. She’s like me, she better be more careful. Hopefully she will soon be good as new!
I was at Beauty Doctors last week when Francis Miles Coenen come in. Did we ever “remember when” I told her to come to the store any day about 2 for coffee hour and we would try to catch up on who is where. Ha!
Vanessa and I traveled up to Bastrop Sunday after noon for the Golden Wedding of my cousin, Bro. David and Beverly Sistruck. Saw so many relations and friends.
Bennie and Fannie Wynn enjoyed the weekend on Kingsport Island with Greg and Jeanne as well as Ben, Emily, Ahndi and Cooper. I think they had quite a enjoyable weekend.
