Holly Ridge Happenings for April 2, 2015

“I know that my Redeemer liveth”
They ask me how I know it’s true
That the Savior live and died
And if I believe the story
that the Lord was Crucified?
And I have so many answers
To prove His Holy Being
Answers that are everywhere
Within the realm of seeing
The leaves that fell in autumn
And were buried in the sod
Now budding on the tree branches
To lift thier arms to God
The flowers that were covered
and entombed beneath the snow
Pushing through the “darkness”
To bid the spring hello
On every side great nature
Retells the Easter Story
So who am I to question
“The Resurrection Glory”
Yes I believe and I know that my Redeemer lives today!!!
Jody Stokes enjoyed a few days in Baton Rouge with Amber and Jeff but all good things must come to an end and you have to come home to go back to work, Ha! Want be long till we will have more days off tho. Here on Saturday was Dan and Carol Little from West Monroe. They had been up to Oak Grove for a tractor pull at the Sweet Potato festival. Well, once more he cam in second place. Charlotte Plocioli and Anthony enjoyed Mary Martin,, Boston and Brady here from Albany for the weekend. They carried the boys to the zoo for a fun day then back by Thompsons Ice cream Parlor for ice cream. Patsy Mann from Downsvile and Elsie Hunt from Crew Lake were here on Saturday. They had put fresh flowers in the cemeteries for spring time. Patsy said Mrs. Myrtis Mann was just doing great. She will celebrate her 94th birthday on Sunday April 5th, We wish here a very happy one!
Rechelle Rawls and Danielle Duckworth carried Reina, Jax, Roman, Addie and Kenzie over to the Yogi Bear Jellystone Park near Jackson Ms. for the weekend. Sure was cold and they are planning on a second trip when the weather warms up. There are so many things you can do and they have cabins for rent, fish ponds, golf course, etc. Great get-away!
