How much should you exercise to be healthy?

Adults should exercise two hours and 30 minutes, which can consist of moderate intensity aerobic activities such as brisk walking or one hour and 15 minutes of vigorous intensity aerobic activities such as jogging or running every week.

Adults should also incorporate muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days a week in order to work all major muscle groups of the body.

An equivalent mix of moderate and vigorous intensity aerobic activities and muscle strengthening activities on two or more days a week will work all major muscle groups as well.

So which recommendation will you use? Two hours and 30 minutes of moderate intensity, one hour and 15 minutes of vigorous intensity, or a mix of both?

Whichever you decide, start now to live a healthier lifestyle and shape it up!
