Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of June 7-14.
  • Laterrance White, 29, 113 Quail St., Rayville, simple Battery.
   • Eric Williams, 24,   316 Russell St., Apt 26, Rayville, tresspassing.
Twelve traffic citations were also issued: on for no seatbelt; four stop sign violations; two for careless operation with accident; two for no child restraints; one failure to yield and two for no proof of insurance.
Three separate  juvenile arrests were made for charges of damage to property, disturbing the peace by fighting and aggravated battery.
Rayville Police Chief Willie L. Robinson Sr., would like to wish all the fathers a Happy Father’s Day! “Being a good father is one of the most important responsibilities a man can have,” said the Chief. “The example you set for your children will have a great impact on how they live their lives.”
Chief Robinson advised all citizens to be respectful of their neighbors if you are going to have a get-together at your home to celebrate Father’s Day. “Make sure you keep your music at a decent level,” said the Chief. “Also make sure that your guests don’t abstruct your neighbors property when parking their vehicles.”
