More than 1,000 senior citizens enjoyed fishing, food and music by Mike McKenzie during the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office’s annual Day at the Lake.
Sheriff Lee Harrell hosted the event at Poverty Point Reservoir to show appreciating for seniors.
"I am very pleased with the turnout and the good day we had," Harrell said. "I am honored to have been able to continue this event each year. I feel our senior citizens deserve this day out and the day of fellowship and fun. We are looking forward to next year!"
