Nominations accepted for Aycock award

In honor and memory of his outstanding lifelong service to Richland Parish, the Rayville Kiwanis Club will award the Sellers Aycock Jr. Service Award to an individual who has contributed above and beyond what is expected to his/her community in Richland Parish.

Anyone who lives within Richland Parish or grew up in the parish is eligible to be nominated.  Nomination forms are available at all three branches of the Richland Parish Library.  Delhi, Mangham and Rayville Libraries are open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and from 8:30 am until noon on Saturdays. The forms may be picked up during usual operating hours. 

Completed forms are due back to the Library by the close of the workday on Sept. 1.  In the event that the library is closed due to renovation, the public may call 728-4806 for additional information.   

A committee of Kiwanians will evaluate the nominations and select the recipient.  

Rayville United Methodist Church will host the Sellers Aycock Jr. Service Award Banquet oat 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Individual tickets are $10 each.  Tables for eight are available for Banquet Sponsors for $300.  

Tickets may be purchased from Kiwanis Club members.
