RPD solves aggravated burglary case

The Rayville Police Department has arrested a local man for aggravated burglary.
Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson said Investigator Jerry Davis Sr., was dispatched to a residence at 8 p.m. Not. 15 in reference to the incident.
It was reported that someone had knocked on the residence’s door until a child opened the door. At this point, a male suspect entered the house displaying weapons and demanding drugs and money.
The victim of the crime told Davis she had been in the bathtub when three black males entered the house, made her get out of the tub at gun point and began demanding money.
She was able to identify one of the men as Alan M. Hicks, 20, of Rayville. Davis then contacted Hicks and transported him to the Rayville Police Department where he was given his Miranda rights.
Hicks then gave a written, voluntary statement admiting to being of the three males inside the residence Hicks also confessed to the aggravated burglary. In addition, he identified the other two males inside side the residence and stated they were with him.
Hicks was charged with aggravated burglary and later transported to the Richland Parish Detention Center to await bond.
Chief Robinson said other arrests will be forthcoming in connection with the investigation.
