VFW schedules annual fish fry

Tommy Cook American Legion Post #122 will host its annual fish fry at 8 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Rayville Civic Center.

All VFW members and spouses are invited. Anyone who hasn’t paid their 2016 dues is encouraged you to do so now. Dues will increase by $5 on Jan., 1, 2016 and members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to pay dues at the previous year’s rate. 

At the fish fry, VFW members will be collecting health and comfort items including toiletry items such as Fixodent, tweezers, socks with grippers on the bottom, long white socks, white t-shirts, dominos, playing cards, puzzle books, pens and pencils to deliver to their brothers in arms that live in the Veteran’s home in Monroe at this event.
