James E. Nance Sr.

Funeral services for James E. Nance Sr., 77, of Rayville, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville with Rev. Larry Walters officiating. 

Interment will be in the New Salem Cemetery, Girard.

Mr. James was born June 6, 1939 in Rayville, LA and passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Rayville, LA.

Mr. James is preceded in death by his parents, W.J. and Mollie Nance; brothers, W.J. “Pete” Nance, Jr. and Charlie Eugene Nance. Sr.; and sister, Mary Pauline Lord.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Judy Nance of Rayville; children, James Nance, Jr. of Rayville, Terry Nance and wife, Tonya of Downsville, Tammy G. Walters and husband, Larry of Crowville, Harvey Nance and wife, Danna of Farmerville, and Steve Humphreys of Crowville; grandchildren, Cameron Nance, Tara Burch, Tyler Nance, Chastity Vega, Heather Roberts, Kasey Henry, Jacob Nance, and Jordan Nance; and Paw’s baby, Cricket; and a host of nephews.

Pallbearers are Don Risher, David Moore, Ismael Vega, Willie Rawls, Jimmy Ray Lord, and Wayne Lord. Honorary pallbearers are Cubee Burgess, Burle McGee, Roy Ray Heath, Robert Bennett, Dallas Bennett, and Bobby Scott.
