John David Searcy

Services for Mr. John David Searcy, 65 of Monroe, LA were Monday, March 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro with Rev. Buford Brady officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery, near Baskin, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Searcy was a supervisor at Joe Banks Drywall, where he worked for 40 years. He loved to hunt, and Trey helped him kill his biggest deer. He was also a lifetime member of the Garden Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; Harry and Augusta Gray Searcy, his brothers, Robert Charles, and Buddy, and his sisters, Linda and Dianne.

Survivors include: Wife of 23 years, Rose Searcy of Monroe, LA., Daughters: Sunny McCormick and husband, Chris of Baskin, LA., and Gloria McIntosh and husband, Chris of Augusta, GA., Son’s: Harley Corder and wife, Heather of Monroe, LA., and John Thomas Searcy of Mangham, LA., Grandchildren: Gavin, Madeline, Elle and John Michael. Sister: Janice Rodgers and husband Webb of Jonesboro, LA., 6 Brothers: Rufus Searcy and wife Mary of Alexandria, LA., Rusty Searcy and wife Rosie of Alexandria, LA., P. L. Searcy of Rayville, LA., Michael Searcy of Florida, B. Boy Searcy and wife Robin of Alabama, and Poochie Searcy of South Carolina.

Pallbearers were employees of Joe Banks, Randy Carter, Trey Banks, John David Glass, Shorty Shirley, David Ray Davis and Doyle Ray.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Sunday Morning Garden Club.
