Funeral services for Johnnie Sanford, 75, of Rayville, were held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. Troy Dennard officiating.
Burial followed in Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mrs. Sanford was born December 12, 1941 in Rayville, LA and passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Johnnie is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Sanford; son; Ronnie Sanford; parents, Johnny and Carrie Cater; brother, David Cater; and sisters, Margaret Williams and Ella Mae Mosley; and her baby brother.
Survivors include her partner of 27 years, Earl Shoemaker of Rayville, LA; children, Larry Sanford of Rayville, LA and Sharon Nobles and husband, Mike of Rayville, LA; daughter-in-law, Angie Sanford; grandchildren, Ashley Motsinger and husband, Beau of Baton Rouge, LA, Marla Livingston and husband, Chris of Monroe, LA, Amanda Prewitt of Rayville, LA, Brittany Thomas and husband, Ronnie of Calhoun, LA, and Shanda Easterling and husband, Toby of Crowville, LA; great grandchildren, Victoria Prewitt; L.J. Prewitt, Lucas Livingston, Zachary Livingston, Alice Motsinger, Amber Easterling, Nathan Easterling, Tyler Easterling, and Riley Thomas; great-great granddaughter, Amelia Easterling; sisters, Earnestine Murrill of Mobile, AL and Valerie Cox of Murfreesboro, AR; sisters-in-law, Louise Cater of Holly Ridge, LA, Cathy Sanford of Rayville, LA, Daisy Sanford of Rayville, LA, and Tommye Hummel of Bastrop, LA; brothers-in-law, Herman and wife, Carolyn Sanford of Rayville, LA and Lee Williams of Rayville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Nathan Easterling, Tyler Easterling, Toby Easterling, Edward Shoemaker, Shelton Sanford, and Travis Stephenson.
