Lola Porter

Funeral services for Lola Porter, 97, of Rayville, were held Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating.

Interment followed in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville.

Mrs. Lola was born March 15, 1918 in Clarksdale, MS and passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Rayville, LA after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Lola was a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church of Rayville. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Porter and parents, William and Georgia Hill.

Survivors include her son, Robert W. Porter of Monroe; daughter, Linda Ann Toler and husband, James Toler, Jr. of Greenville, MS; grandchildren, Charmaine Alisa Pickel and husband, Donald of West Monroe and David Nathaniel Williams and wife, Shannon of Greenville, MS; great grandchildren, Donald Pickel, Jr., Matthew Pickel, Samuel Pickel, Caden Faurote, and Hope Jessie Williams; host of nieces and nephews; special care giver, Annette Wacaser of Rayville. 

Pallbearers were Steve Weeks, Johnny Townsend, Jeffery Harris Jr., Don Gilley, Kirby Hendrix and David Nathaniel Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were Donald Pickel, Jr., Matthew Pickel and Samuel Pickel.
