Funeral services for Vela Mae Hales, 88, of Rayville, LA will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Archibald Church of Christ, Archibald, LA with Bro. David Shiers and Bro. Mark Shiers officiating. 

Interment will follow in Lynn Cemetery, Archibald, LA.

Mrs. Hales was born on January 15, 1927 in Eclectic, Ala and passed away on April 18, 2015 in Rayville, LA. Vela is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Hales; Grandchildren, Todd Smith and Sydney Hales.

Survivors include her children, Roger Hales and wife, Sharon of Rayville; Martha Smith and husband Waylon of Alexander City, Al; and Tim Hales and wife, Martha of Rayville. grandchildren, Amy Mann of Alexander City, Al; Christy Pritchard and husband, Matthew of Dadville, Al; Tracy Fuller and husband, Scott of Alexander City, Al; and Randall Hales of Rayville. great grandchildren, Brandon and Breana Mann of Alexander City, Al; Jason Battistella of Dadville, Al; Zack Pritchard of Dadville, Al; and Dale Smith of Alexander City, Al; and numerous nieces and nephews.   

Pallbearers will be  David Moore, Josh Moore, W.O. Shiers, Jessie Shiers,  Roland Thompson and David Singley.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015, at Archibald Church of Christ, Archibald.
