Goodwill School destroyed by fire
The Goodwill School building was destroyed by fire just after midnight Thursday, March 31.
Chief Deputy Kenneth Green said the origin of the fire had been determined to be lightning. The night was stormy.
The building had been abandoned as a school but was serving as a church building for Life Church.
Fire departments were unable to extinguish the blaze.
Many memories still exist among residents who attended the school over a long period of years.
