Myrtle Bell Toney

Funeral services for Myrtle Bell Toney, 89, of Rayville, were held Friday, August 19, 2016 at the First Assembly of God, Rayville with Bro. Robert Smith, Bro. John Skinner and Bro. Marvin Downs officiating. 

Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery, Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mrs. Myrtle was born July 3, 1927 in Swartz, LA and passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Holly Ridge, LA. She was a member of the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband, Gaddis Toney; son, Kenneth Toney; grandsons, Scott Toney and Donnie Toney; great grandson, Joshua Duffey; sons-in-law, James “Monkey” Duckworth and Ronnie Johnston; six sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Smith and husband, Robert of Rayville, Sue Duffey and husband, Cliff of Start, and Marie Toney Johnston of Delhi; son, Donald Toney and wife, Vickie of Rayville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Toney of Crowville; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.
