Boy Scout Trail Ride coming May 17

The Louisiana Purchase Council, Boy Scouts of America will offer a unique opportunity for area residents to take a horseback trail ride at Camp T.L. James near Downsville from 1-5 p.m. May 17. Riders will enjoy exploring the sites of the 1,200 acre Scout reservation.

After the trail ride, a light meal and beverages will be served. Cost per rider is $100. Event sponsorship including name on banner and all materials plus spots for four riders is available for $1,000. Non-rider meal tickets are available for $25

Proceeds from this year’s ride will benefit the programs of the Louisiana Purchase Council, including camperships for youth who cannot afford to attend Summer Camp. Registration is available at www.louisianapurchasecouncil.org or by calling 325-4634.
