Golden Girl contestants named

The search for the 2015 Golden Girl Pageant contestants is over!  Rayville Rosenwald-Eula D. Britton Alumni Association Golden Girl committee has selected four ladies who will compete for the crown.  These ladies best exemplify dignity, inner beauty, character, community involvement; and, have reached the age of elegance.
On Friday, June 5, 2015, committee members and the contestants: Mrs. Crinda B. Chatmon, Mrs. Izella W. Feathers, Mrs. Clementine Davison-Vaughns, and Mrs. Irma W. Winston, met at Big John’s Restaurant for an informative, fun-filled evening.  These ladies learned the history of the Golden Girl Pageant and other pertinent information.  They also learned that they would compete in Sunday-wear, evening-wear and talent.
Please join us for this spectacular event!  It will be held at the Alumni Center (The Old Gym) on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.  Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.  Souvenir books will also be pre-sold for $5.00.  All proceeds will be used exclusively for maintaining the gym and to fund future projects.  
The culmination of the event will be the crowning of Golden Girl 2015 by Mrs. Irma Hunter, Golden Girl 2012.
