Jesus Cares
When you’ve met some disappointment and you’re tempted to feel blue, when your plans have all been side-tracked, or some friend has proved untrue. When you’re toiling and you’re struggling at the bottom of the stairs, It will seem a bit like Heaven, Just to know Jesus Cares! Oh, this life is not all sunshine, some days are darkest clouds, disclose there’s a cross for every joy-bell, and a thorn for every rose. But, the cross is not so grievous nor the thorn the rose-bud ears, and the clouds have silver linings when we know that Jesus Cares!
We at Bethel enjoyed having Bro. Charles Best to preach for us on Sunday morning. He will be back this Sunday and you are welcome to come be in our services!
Here on Wednesday was Alma Toney Carrell from Ashdown Ark. She and her family were here for the funeral service of her sister, Mrs. Lola Toney Russell. Enjoyed our ice cream visit. Also Louise Phillips Carroll from down Caney Lake and her son, Cliff from Monroe came by.
L.V. Tollard from Hammond and a friends were here. He had been up the “Good Road” just remembering when many years ago where he grew up. Some grow up and leave and he was one of them.
Jimmy Norwoood from Texas and his son Don from Pearland Texas stopped in on Sunday. They had been over to his uncle Joe Meeks for the Meeks family Reunion. They were on their way back to Lake Bruin where the Norwoods had their family reunion
Happy Birthday to: Heath Dew and Drake Eppinette on June 9th, My better half Tommy Thompson, Bobby Lockard, Alexa Roberts, (can’t believe she’s is turning 16 June 10th) they grow up so fast. Sharon Baum on June 11th, Karlyn House up in New York on June 12th, Tyler Mann on June 13th, Hilda Mann Pylant, Boston Martin on June 14th, Billy Richardson, Donnie Maxwell on June 15th. May these celebrate many more!
Anniversary wishes to: Leatha and Heath Dew on June 9th, Brenda and Ricky Goodman (41 years) on June 14th, Charlene and Shannon Mercer (25 years on June 15th. May these share many more happy years together!
