Thank you, God

for Everything

Thank you God for everything, the big things and the small. For “every good gift comes from God” the Giver of them all. And all to often we accept without any thanks or praise. The gifts God sends as blessings each day in many ways. First thank you for the little things that often come our way, the things we take for granted but don’t mention when we pray. Then thank You for the “Miracles” we are much to blind to see. And give us new awareness of our many gifts from Thee. And help us to remember that the key to life and living is to make each prayer a prayer of thanks and everyday Thanksgiving.

Here for the July 4th weekend was Cherly Cobb Kirk, Amy and Anna Belle and her two sons from Baton Rouge. She spent time at Ink’s camp, time with Jerry and Diane and on to Monroe to finish up the weekend. She had time or took time to come by the “Ice cream Parlor” Ha! Always good to see Cheryl!

Dan and Carol from West Monroe was over for a brief visit with us at the store. They always come by if they are in the area. Tyler and Ashley Cheek, Carter, Ryan and Heather Rawls, Mandy Silk, and Braxton, Misty Hayes, Caiden and Katie Grace left for their vaction on Thursday and returned on Monday. They went to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, went white water rafting, ice skating, shopping, hiking, to Oberland Mountain and other places of interest. Had a great time, tired and were proud to get back in “our land” Ha!

Ben and Emily Thompson, Ahndi and Cooper enjoyed their weekend down south. They went to White Castle to the Nottoway Plantation to the haunted house ( I don’t know why, they say theirs is haunted  then went bike riding, Bonnet Carre Spillway Saturday in New Orleans for the battle of the barges fireworks (absolutely beautiful) then to Cajun Lagonn Water Park. Tired “little puppies” When they got back to Monroe.”

My John’s little family enjoyed their day at John and Pams beautiful camp on Lake Providence. They were tubing, fishing, and plenty of food as usual.

Greg, Jeanne, Fannie, Bennie Wynn, Bobby and Carolyn Post were at my house by the pool cooking, yes, I had mine catered by them with Vanessa going to get out plates “full” It was good yes, I did eat to much.
