Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson advised all citizens of Rayville that physical violence is never an acceptable solution to a problem.

“If you find yourself in an altercation that could possibly escalate to physical violence, the best solution is to walk away and cool down,” Chief Robinson said.

Chief Robinson advised that all parties involved in physical violence will be arrested and charged accordingly whether or not they are still at the scene when officers arrive.  Chief Robinson also stated that citizens of Rayville are more than welcome to call his office and ask for the assistance of officers if there is an altercation with which they need help.

“If your situation doesn’t fall under our jurisdiction, we will help you find the proper agency,” the chief said.

Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
