Oak Grove Plans Downtown Marketplace

The Town of Oak Grove is set to launch its Downtown Marketplace June 17 and is soliciting vendors to participate at this time at City Hall.
“We are very excited about the venture,” Oak Grove Mayor Adam Holland said. “This will give our local growers and opportunity to sell their goods, and also provide traffic to Downtown.”
To participate in the Downtown Market you must be a grower of fresh vegetables, grains, herbs, eggs etc. or have jury approved value added products such as jellies, jams, baked goods, etc. Hand crafted items are also permitted to be sold.
The Market will be open on Friday from noon to 5 pm, and Saturday 9 am – 2 pm beginning June 17 and running weekly until weekend of August 5 or until the fresh vegetable season ends. The Market will be located in the Downtown Courtyard on Main Street in Oak Grove.
The cost to participate as a vendor will be $10 per weekend or $40 for the entire 8-week period.
Applications and rules are available at City Hall. There are only 15 vendor slots available and will be assigned on a first come basis.
Please contact City Hall at 318-428-3276 for more information.
