Mangham Police make arrests for theft, drugs

The Mangham Police Department has arrested a Dollar General Store employee for theft.

Mangham Police Chief Perry Fleming said Coco Tucker, 18, of 104A Coenen Drive, Rayville, was charged with theft on April 8. His bond was set at $1,000.

Tucker was accused of not scanning some items at the register than then bagging them as if they had been paid for. Fleming made the arrest after Tucker confessed during an interview with the police chief and the store’s district manager.

In an unrelated arrest, the Mangham Police arrested Jacob Wyatt Carraway, 20, of 199 Bob Wilson Lane, Crowville, on drug charges  following a traffic stop by officers Chris Alyea and Randy Swain. 

Carraway was charged with  possession of methamphines, possession of subxone and contributing to a juvenile.

The driver of the car was a juvenile was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

“I would like to thank officer Alyea and Officer Swain for their work,” Fleming said.
