Holly Ridge Happenings

In this restless world of struggle it is often hard to find answers to the questions that disturb our peace of mind. 

And our hearts are lost and lonely as we search to find the key to the meaning of all living and to immortality. But we’ll never find the answers in science, grafts and charts, for the only real solution must be found within our hearts. 

For the answers to all living God holds safely in his keeping and only when we know Him we will find what we are seeking  and to know Him is to love Him and to love Him is to find the answers to all questions that fill our troubled mind.

I received a phone call on Wednesday from a classmate, Bob Tatum out in Birmingham, he wanted to see what was going on with me in and out of the hospital and doctors, well I told him “I’m just getting old or I’ve already gotten old. Ha! Aren’t we all?

I hear that Buddy and June McCartney Love have vacationing out in Colorado visited with their son Brian while there must be nice.

Here for a visit on Thursday was Gaynell and Catherine Stokes from Down on Caney Lake and they said it was just as hot on teh lake as here. Gaynell is doing much better after about eight days in Willis-Knighten Hosptial in Shreveport.

My little granddaughter and grandson Lena Kate and Tyler Bardeaux are on their honey moon on a cruise line. Having a great time!

Motoring down to the beach at Grand Isle, La. was Leo and Carolyn Lyle. Their reason was the wedding of their daughter, Angie to Scott Langley. Also their was their children and Scotts mom and dad. I was a beautiful sunset wedding at 7:00 p.m. pm on Monday. They were barefoot and all. Congratulations from me to Angie and Scott. I wish you a long and happy life together.

Hey, Some are playing “hide and seek: with Jesus. Pretty soon He’s going to say: Ready or not, here I come!

Happy Birthday this week to; my little great-great nephew, Roman Rawls (10 years) on July 21st, Sherry Ingram Hamm on July 23rd, Ray Franklin on July 24th, Pam Moore, Toby Book, Monica Hogg on July 25th, Bonnie Parker, Doris Reiger on July 26th, Allison Vaughn, Wade Morgan, Nathan Whitstine, Sadie Beth Elkins (8 years) on July 27th. May each of these celebrate many more.

Anniversary wishes to: Carolyn and Everett Caloway (40 years) on July 24th, Kim and Cliff Mills on July 27th. May these share many more happy years together!
