Thank you God for everything, the big things and the small. For “every good gift comes from God.”
The giver of them all. And all to often we accept without any thanks or praise. The gifts God sends as blessings each day in many ways.
First, thank you for the little things that often come our way. The things we take for granted but don’t mention when we pray, then thank you for the “miracles” we are much to blind to see.
And give us more awareness of our many gifts from Thee. And help us to remember that the key to life and living is to make each prayer a prayer of thanks and every day Thanksgiving!

Two of my “little” nieces Jeanie Green and Rene Jackson decided to go visit the “Myrtles” recently. I really don’t believe in ghosts, but I’m not gonna go where people say they are. Understand? Ha.
My little sister in law Denise Thompsn spent a few days in Shreveport last week with Lane and Terrah Johnson, Hannah Jane, Gracie Ruth and Emma Lynn. She made it back just in time to cast her vote. Hannah and Sam brought her home.
Tanja Thompson enjoyed visiting with Becky Rawls in Rayville Guest Home one day last week when she was off of work. Had a great visit and I know Becky was proud to see them.
Opal Jones enjoyed having her so, Clyde Jones here from Texas for the weekend. Clyde told me he was gonna try to come more often.
The Barthol sisters, Mary and Abby come up to see me and get ice cream before the wedding of Emily Lyles at the Holly Ridge Methodist Church on Saturday. Was so good to see them.
Coming by on Saturday was Troy and Nina Gwin from Arkansas. They had a couple of days off between the chicks in the chicken farm.
We, Vanessa, Nancy, Breanda, Glenda and I enjoyed our busy day at the polls on Tuesday.
We had 296 voters on our precint plus the absentee votes. I think we did good!
Happy Birthday this week to: My little great niece, Sarah Green McElroy on November 17th, Janice Lofton, Clay Freeland, Dion Branch, and my little brother Malvin Sistrunk on November 18th, My nephew Joey Stokes on November 19th, Roy Cox , Dorothy Lively, Ann Hogg on November 20th, Mrs. Dovie Hales, Brenda Lockard, Brenda Whittington on November 21st. Vickie Pylant, Cole Jones, Lori Grigby, Sylvia Hardy, Joseph Charrier on November 22nd, Stephanie Stevens, Dustin Sanders on November 23rd. I wish them many more happy ones!
Anniversary wishes to: Laurie and Danny Whittine (I belive 40 years) on November 19th, Linda and James Lowery (53 years) and Jeannie and Eddie Lowry (30 years) on November 22nd, Bobbie and John Stell, Dorothy and Joe Lively on November 23rd.
