Caldwell Road Closures

Many roads are closed in Caldwell Parish due to water being over the roads creating unsafe conditions. Hwy 133, also known as “the dump road” is closed with barricades. There are several other roads closed in the Hebert area, such as Heather Lane, but having Hwy 133 closed should keep people from accessing those. Also closed are Hwy 846 North towards Ouachita Parish, Hwy 847, Hwy 848 and Rodeo Road. There is a bridge out on Hwy 557 in Ouachita Parish so that road is closed as well.
Disaster recovery

The Disaster Recovery Center is expected to be in Caldwell Parish on Thursday, March 31, at the Caldwell Parish Garden Center. Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Small Business Administration, voluntary groups and local agencies will be at the center to answer questions about disaster assistance and low-interest disaster loans. They can also help survivors apply for federal disaster assistance.
