Municipal elections planned for Columbia

On Saturday, March 5, 2016, residents of Columbia will go to the polls to vote for a Mayor and council members. The last day to register to vote in this election is February 3. Early voting is February 20-27. If you need more information or want to register you can go to the Registrar of Voters office located at the courthouse on Main Street or call 649-7364.
Qualifying for Mayor of Columbia are Richard C. Meredith and Martha Lou Simons. Qualifying for Town Council in Columbia are Penny Hillestad Brown, Sonja Grant Carroll, Bonnie M. Crockett-Incumbent, Crystal Grafton, Ann Lovelady, Betty Robinson, Hannah Cummings Springer and James C. Stuart.
