Suspects arrested in McIntosh death

Three Mississippi residents have been charged with first degree murder in Washington County on charges stemming from the death of a a 29-year-old local man, Thomas Harris McIntosh who was reported as “missing” to the West Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office in February 2015, according to West Carroll Sheriff Jerry Philley.
It was learned that Thomas McIntosh’s last known location was at a Greenville, MS. Casino in December 2014. The Washington County Mississippi Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation based upon the report received by the West Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On April 1, 2015 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office recovered human skeletal remains in a field near the Greenville Mississippi casino. These remains were later positively identified through the Mississippi State Crime Lab, as the remains of Thomas Harris McIntosh. Three people from the Greenville, MS. area had been identified as having contact with the victim during his stay at the casino and investigators were unable to track Thomas McIntosh’ movement to locations other than the casino.
The three Greenville, MS. residents investigators believed to have the last contact with Thomas McIntosh, before he was reported missing, were scheduled for polygraph exams to be conducted on July 7 at Washington County Criminal Investigations Division building in Greenville, Mississippi, by Mississippi’s Bureau of Investigations polygrapher. During the exam process, one of the suspects, confessed, implicating all three suspects in the death of Thomas Harris McIntosh.

The suspect gave investigators a statement
indicating on or about December 25,
2014, during the night-time hours, the three
of them, along with Thomas McIntosh,
were in a vehicle behind Harlow’s Casino
doing illegal narcotics when Thomas
McIntosh, started convulsing and subsequently
stopped breathing.
The suspect advised that the three of
them panicked and instead of seeking medical
attention for Thomas they drove to a
secluded location not far from the casino
and dragged him across a ditch into a field
and left him for dead.
Based on this information and other cooberating
evidence Washington County
investigators along with investigators from
the West Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office and
the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations
arrested 34-year-old Christopher Franks of
Avon, Mississippi, 24-year-old Parker
Huddleston from the Greenville area, and
36-year-old Trudy Ponder, also from the
Greenville area.
All three have been charged with first
degree murder in Washington County
