Allen Alvin Richardson

Funeral services for Allen Alvin Richardson, 86, of Rayville, will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville with Bro. Waymon Swain and Edward Greer officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville.

Mr. Allen was born September 29, 1928 in Polkville, MS and passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Allen was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during WWII and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Rayville Church of Christ and the V.F.W. He worked hard all of his life and enjoyed doing so. He worked on small engines and in his garden. Mr. Allen enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, especially family gatherings, and watching wrestling.

Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his sons, Jerry Don Richardson and Randy Richardson; parents, Ada and Ned Richardson; and his brother, Bilbo Richardson.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Roberts Richardson of Rayville; daughters, Dianne Barnett of West Monroe, Kathy Murray and husband, Earl of West Monroe, Judy Gail Brewer and husband, Danny of Rayville, and Teresa Lynn Spencer and husband, Len of Rayville; sons, Larry Richardson and wife, Cathy of Girard, Bobby Dale Richardson and wife, Debbie of West Monroe, Gene Richardson and wife, Charlotte of Waxahachie, TX, and Tony Richardson of Rayville; and 20-grandchildren and 28-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Richardson, Scott Herrington, David Dew, Daniel Murray, Shannon Richardson and Marcus Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
