Love grew where the blood fell, flowers of hope sprang up for men in misery. Sin died where the blood fell, Oh, I’m so glad his precious blood covers me.
The annual Meeks family reunion was once more a happy one at the lovely country home (on the river) of Joe and Laverne Meeks. There may not have been as many as lazy year but everyone had a blast. Jimmy Norwood and son Don from Silsby, Texas stopped in to say hello. Oh my gosh, how many years had it been. Jimmy just retired from his dentistry practice. Going to enjoy life now!
Jeanne Thompson and Cooper and Carter Cheek traveled to Baton Rouge on Tuesday then on to Denham Springs for a day at the great water park. They did enjoy this. Coming home on Wednesday they decided to stay the night at a Jackson Motel for fun.
Ahndi did not get to go because she spent the the week at the Christian Kings Camp on the Bonne Idee. She had a real good time of course her dad, Ben Thompson is doing the cooking for this years camp.
If you see Ralph or Janet Cheek this week, you may have to bring them back down to earth, they are on cloud nine. This is their first time that they have had a chance for a grand-child to spend a few days. Their granddaughter Karleigh Cheek is here for a couple of weeks from Mark-ham, Texas. Oh what fun!
It is time once again for the A.T. Gwin family reunion June 13th, 2015 at the Rayville Civic Center. Bring a covered dish and join this family and friends. A good time will be had by all.
