Lawson graduates basic training

Air Force Airman Keandre   Lawson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Lawson is the son of Krista Williams of Monroe and Eric Lawson of Tulsa, Okla., and step-son of Samuel Williams of Monroe. He is also the grandson of Beverly and James Smith of Rayville and nephew of Myia Lawson and James Smith Jr., of Monroe.

The airman graduated in 2013 from Tulsa McLain School of Science and Technology, Tulsa, Okla.
