Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson advised all citizens of Rayville that inappropriate use of firearms will result in criminal charges and arrests.

“It is never okay to use a firearm to intimidate or assault another person,” the chief said. “If you pull a gun on someone, any altercation you are involved in just became an aggravated incident because of the use of the weapon.”

Chief Robinson advised that his department has a zero-tolerance policy toward all crimes of violence and that any person who commits a violent act on another person will be arrested and charged accordingly.  Chief Robinson also stated that this is especially true in cases of domestic violence or cases that involve juvenile victims.

“Protecting the lives and well-being of all Rayville’s citizens is a responsibility that I take very seriously,” the chief said.

Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
